What is Chiropractic?

We specialise in the diagnosis and drug-free management of problems caused by the muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons or nerves .
Chiropractors are well-known for treating back or neck problems, but are also qualified to treat many other conditions in patients of all ages and abilities and if we can’t help you then we will refer you to a specialist who can. Chiropractors are healthcare professionals that must have completed a full time 4-5 year degree at a recognised university.
Both of our Chiropractors trained here in the UK at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic located at the University of Glamorgan.

You don’t need to be referred…

Chiropractors are trained to triage and screen for serious pathology, it is a primary healthcare profession which means that you can walk in off the street. You don’t need to be referred by your GP although we may work together with them and other professionals.
In common with other healthcare professionals such as medical practitioners nurses and dentists, the chiropractic profession is regulated by law and the title of ‘chiropractor’ is protected by law and it is a criminal offence for anyone to describe themselves as a chiropractor without being registered with the GCC. Who check that all chiropractors are properly qualified and are fit to practice.
